Ferry to Newfoundland

After finishing our loop around Cape Breton, the next stop was a boat. The ferry to Newfoundland.

There are two ways to go: a 16 hour overnight ride to Argentia (St. John’s) or a 6 hour noon ferry directly north to Port aux Basques. We did the math and the choice was pretty clear – $170 to ship all three of us and the bus directly north.

We left sunny Nova Scotia…

…and arrived in a wet and windy Newfoundland.
