Bold adventure or hell on wheels? You decide.
There are two maps here. The top one is our actual driving route* and current location. The other is a completely rough guess of where we think me might be headed. If you’ve got any better ideas, suggestions, a couch to sleep on, etc… Please let us know!
*blue is driving, purple is by boat.
It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it. – Arnold Toynbee

You missed the best state in the US- Idaho! Enjoy the ride
Two years ago, I had been following your journey after the fact on your old web site, then Iook a break and now just decided to pick it up again.
On the old site, I was able to follow along chronologically but now I’m not able to pick up where I left off because I can’t access your timeline. The last date of your journey that I had was 03/18/2010.
Is there anyway I can continue from that date.
Thanks,
Tim –
Wow! Lots of stuff has happened since then! 😉 FYI – At the bottom left of the front page is an ‘Archives’ combo box to choose to go to a particular month/year. That should get you pretty close… thanks for coming back!
Good Morning Bodeswell! Looking at your route I see you may be approaching the Cape Cod area. If it works for you, I’d like to invite you to enjoy the Cape for a couple of days. My wife and I brought our ’90 Westy from CA last fall. 5200 miles up through Yellowstone, Glacier, Lake Louise, across Cananda, Great Lakes, Niagra Falls, and to its new home here on Cape Cod. A short trip compared with your journeys!
The Obama’s just arrived on Martha’s Vineyard and the weather is beautiful! If you’re close and want a place to stay, let me know.
Russ – thanks for the generous offer, but unfortunately we are already much farther north! All the more reason to get caught up on the blog!
Mario
Hi Rehm’s – I hadn’t seen any recent posts, hope that everything is ok in your part of the world!
