We’re told that in Florianopolis, the ratio of women to men is 7:1. In the rest of the country, the ratio is supposedly similarly high. I don’t know if I believe it, but I like those odds.

Seriously: we found the Brazilans surprising “uncomplicated” in their sexual behaviour, from display of affection openly to having sex in a car with tinted windows on rather busy parking lot. Whenever you come past a parked car showing a bit of rocking motion you know what the reason is…
Have you found/tried one of the Brazilian ice cream buffets yet? You get a big bowl, walk along the freezers and displays condiments, spoon it up and pay by the weight… Delicious! Some of their ice cream can compete with the best form Italy!
