Quinault

After a day or two, you’ll never guess who showed up at our campground. We really need to make a bigger effort to hide from these guys in the future 😉

We decided to take one more peek into Olympic National Park and headed towards the Hoh Rainforest. Really cool hikes and free camping just outside the park at a NFS campground.

We continued down the coast and were looking for camping around Lake Quinault when we realized we were being followed. I figured it was going to be a park ranger telling us to make like a tree, but it turned out to be out buddy Brian. He was out looking at campsites too, but not to camp – he was working. He and Leigh are the proprietors of Campendium – a great resource for campers – and they take it seriously.

Since he’s a pro, they had already set up their Airstream for the week at a beachfront casino with free camping – and we were invited to happy hour. Decision made. It turns out you don’t have to go wandering around looking for a good place to camp – you can use Campendium – or, just ask Brian.

Also, don’t forget to click one of the Amazon links here before you order anything from them. It doesn’t matter what you buy – we’ll get a commission for sending you there (at no cost to you). Thanks! Every little bit helps!
