Hasta luego, amigo.

We finally made it back to Buenos Aires and the familiar comfort of Rodi’s shop. We were held up by some sort of protest that seemed to clog up the entire city and block all the major streets. This is where the GPS comes in handy.

In Lanus, Rodi welcomed us back with incredible hospitality – we’re lucky to be here.

Red Beard is now safely garaged 50,000 or so miles from where we started. The bus will sit until mid-September, when we will return here to resume our assault on ‘living a normal life’. Until then, we’ll be back in the US visiting friends and family, working, and… maybe, temporarily living a more-ordinary life.

Have a wonderful vacation, from your vacation. I have enjoyed all 2 years, 11 months and 4 days of ‘our’ trip around and look forward to mid-September when we are back on the road again. Until then, rest and be safe and enjoy.

Have really enjoyed your adventures since Day 1. Have a nice break from living the dream! Try not to get sucked back into the daily rigmarole of USA living. It’s high time more people unsubscribed from the “American Dream” as you have. I hope to follow in your footsteps someday.

how long is the vehicle permit in Argentina?

  • July 23, 2012 at 9:09 PM

Tree – 6 months… and you can leave the country without your vehicle. Still, odds are good that you will cross the border so frequently that it won’t be an issue.
