The good news is that our California registration and sticker came in the mail. The bad news is that we also received a letter saying it has been revoked. And, no month sticker arrived, even though we filled out the form for it.
So, the sticker and registration card is a big win. The rest… not so much.
The other snag is that technically we are required by law to register and plate the vehicle in Texas. There’s a 30 day limit. We’re over it.
Still, I’m calling it good enough to drive back and forth to my brother’s house to use his shop.
Angela’s job is to sort it all out. My job is to get the bus ready for the next leg of the trip – one that is feeling like it needs to come sooner rather than later.
I’m out of my home state for 7 years now and still use the old plates and they send me the registration renewal to my out of state mailing address. You still have CA driver license and you don’t conduct business in Texas. I say you are safe from a fine.
