We didn’t buy a thing

We headed into town to explore a bit and ended up on the beach having a few cervezas and watching the waves roll in. Boogies boarders hopping on and off giant waves that would break right on the beach – looked fun.

Anyway, since we’re being lazy this week I suggested we go easy on the blog posts. Here’s an idea: just take a picture of each person that comes to sell us junk over the next 20 minutes. Angela grabbed the camera, but didn’t last 15. That’s about one vendor every 30 seconds.

I love the multi-colored, woven beach blanket! I just bought a green and white one at our local thrift store for $2.

My 2 personal favorites – the working mom wearing her papoose baby sling on her back, & the towering hat stackers!! Cheers!

Oh, & also the guy schlepping the hammocks – just the perfect beach/camping accessory for Red Beard! Jason, couldn’t you at least figure out a way to hang it up somehow (sort of like that light thing you did across the back????) 🙂

Guys! You must hit Cafe d’Oillo (coffee from the pot). Spelling sucks but it’s right down town. The best Don Julio Rocks Margies ever. Plus the Queso Fundido is addictive as hell. Great food and an awsome place.

The best taco stand I found was just north of down town called Pepe’s accross from a Pemex station. It’s kind of big, lots of hot pink and really kind off odd looking but get a pile of the Gringas tacos. Oh they are good. If you just take the public bus you can get off at the corner, grab a cervesa at the corner market, bring it on the next bus that comes along and suddenly a trip accross town can be quite lovely!

    Have a great time!
